28 Sep Allen McFee turns 65 and goes up the main mast

It was an exciting day!  Our 10 am sail was Helen, Michael, Ed Fracker, and a guest who has fallen in love with Golden Rule, Maria.  Maria had so much fun she started yelling in ecstasy after being on the helm for awhile.

Then we had a marvelous birthday party for Allen, who just turned 65 today!  His partner Trina and her daughter Takasha as well as a couple more guest joined us for singing, cake, toys, and general fun.

We needed to install a new line on the main mast for our flag and as a birthday present to Allen we let him go up in the boson’s chair.  He LOVES to go up in the air!

Finally, it was the night of the lunar eclipse, which we all saw very clearly while we had a marvelous pasta dinner that Michael cooked.

A fine day, indeed!
