11 Oct Fleet Week in SF Bay with Code Pink and others

This was the day where Golden Rule had the best exposure to the public ever! It’s Fleet Week in San Francisco Bay and Obama was in town. We made up special banners for the boat: “Sailing for a Nuclear Free World” and “President Obama, Follow the Golden Rule VFPGoldenRuleProject.org” Six Code Pinkers sailed with us in the morning and five others sailed in the afternoon – we were able to show the mizzen sail with the peace sign to thousands of people! Donations just today were over $400. Donations for this week are over $1000.

We will sail to Sausalito tomorrow and hopefully sail out on Monday (but could be as late as Wednesday) to Ft. Bragg, where we will stop for a potluck event. Then on to Eureka for a welcome home party and a winter of rest and boat improvements.
