01 Jun Our first crew of 2016, leaving Humboldt Bay

Captain Norman Petersen, First Mate Kent Mitchell, and crew members Victoria Sheldon and Michael Gonzalez cast off Tuesday morning May 31 at 7:30 am into the glassy-calm water of high tide on Humboldt Bay.  A few die-hard volunteers were on hand to say goodbye and followed her to “the jaws” as she went to sea.  As of 8 pm, they were nearing Crescent City and heading to Brookings before taking a break.
